Lifesaver patrols continue

Elwood Life Saving Club patrol volunteers remain on duty right through to Anzac Day 2024.

Patrols run on weekends and public holidays.

Lifesavers last season watched over more than 180,000 beachgoers, performed nine rescues, tended to dozens of first aid cases and completed around 700 actions that prevented a more serious incident.

To check weather and lifesaving services before heading to the beach go to Surf Life Saving Australia’s Beachsafe website. There’s also safety advice and information about flags, signs, rips, waves and more.

The EPA’s beach report forecasts water quality for 36 beaches around Port Phillip Bay, including Elwood.

Further details about our patrols including operational times can be found on the patrols page.
