An inflatable rescue boat - or IRB for short - is An inflatable rescue boat - or IRB for short - is an essential part of equipment for Surf Life Saving Clubs around Australia. It enables surf lifesavers to perform rescues and provide much needed first aid services quickly and efficiently. In addition, it is the most effective way to search for a victim who may have been swept
along the beach in areas not patrolled by our surf lifesavers. An IRB also allows lifesavers to perform
preventative actions along the beach that avoid potential water incidents. It's just one of the tools we use to keep beachgoers safe.
Well done to all competitors who represented Elwoo Well done to all competitors who represented Elwood at the 2026 Victorian Junior Lifesaving Championships in Warrnambool over the weekend.
The club scored one gold medal, two silver and one bronze plus lots of top six results.
These points meant we finished 12 overall - a great result from a team of 12 athletes.
The effort from everyone was outstanding and we thank those volunteers and helpers without whose assistance the club could not compete. 🔴🔵⚪️
